  Time's running out for free Windows 7 free upgrade

  it wasn't easy.. last july i bought a new hp desktop with the vista home premium operating system.

  the reason was simple -- according to the ad, as a new buyer i would be entitled to a free update to the yet-to-be-released (and highly touted) operating system, windows 7.. .

  today i decided to go for it as i knew time was running out (end of december is deadline).

  Wow! Thanks for sharing FF. I have the same problem with my Vista. Sound stopped working and other things are going on with Vista.

  Secret Santa Wish List 2009

  for those of you who signed up for the secret santa 2009 list here is where you give your secret santa an idea of things you might like.

  it's hard enough to give gifts to people you know nevermind people you have never met.. so bearing in mind the $15 limit give us an idea what your favorite interests, colors are, or what things you might like.. in the past people have suggested something for their new christmas tree, a book, a cd of their favorite music, something from where their secret santa lives (something with the city's or country's name on it or an widely known item.. once people get their name they will be able to check back here to get an idea of what your interest is before they go shopping.. if you say "anything" or don't post then expect a surprise..

  Crapola...Merry Christmas to you! It is fun, isn't it? I'm like Mouthy though, I don't really need anything. Funny thing.... I've got all I ever wanted. A warm place to sleep, plenty of food and clothes, a decent vehicle to drive. I'm not rich, but I am happy, content is a better way to say it.

  I've often pondered, if I could only dress up in a Santa suit and stand on the street corner and hand out gifts to children from a bottomless bag of toys, I would love to do it.

  I guess the only gift I really want is to be able to help others if I can.....

  i find it very interesting that no news stations are broadcasting anything about this.

  this guy and his buddy killed ten people...and no news coverage?

  I believe you're right. I don't have anything against Brad Pitt, just using him as an example. But the point is, what are we really focused on? American Idol, or the things that really affect us?

  Sorry...I don't intend to sound calloused about his death. It's just infuriating how Brad Pitt can garner hours and hours of air time, but when justice is being served in a case like this, there is very little coverage.

  Circuit Assembly This Past Weekend "Safeguard Your Spirituality" -Everyone Please Enter-

  so we had our circuit assembly this past weekend, and it was the first one in my life that i told my wife i would not be attending.

  we had a brief conversation on why, and she said well just go to this last one with me, and then when we can discuss what we learn and compare it to why you've been expressing your "new" feelings towards the wts.. i love my wife, and as much as i thought i was gonna hate it i decided to go.

  now that i no longer want to be a jehovah's witness it really didnt bother me that nobody hardly talked to me despite me living in this same area for 4 1/2 years, everybody views me as spiritually weak because i dont go out in service, rarely attend meetings, dont comment, lesson is never underlined, so the "friends" never interact with me anyway and i'm use to it, actually that's the way i prefer it.

  think about it, you pay for cable t.v., but they serve up 55% of the two hour movie in the form of commercials.

  so you actually get less tthan an hour of the actual moveie.

  so...i'm paying to watch commercials?

  Thanks everyone for your suggestions. FYI...I was not suggesting that I wanted to sue the cable companies for soooo many commercials, I was just exploring the idea of plausibilty. It is in fact, a ridiculous notion to sue, but...when you pay for one thing and get something else, it does provide pause for thought on the subject.

  I have the latest DVR and audio visual equipment...that's not the issue I am bringing to the fore. It is, whether or not it is legal to "Sell" us commercial time and not strictly television time as we should be paying for.

  I wonder if anyone has ever challenged the "Big Boys" on this....
